Tug Cylindrical Fenders Selected by Shipyard in Russia
JIER designed and provided Russia shipyard with a series of Tug Cylindrical Fenders Systems. They were delivered last week.
Tug cylindricals are often used as the primary pushing fenders on the bow or stern of modern tugboats. Their round shape is ideal for working with large bow flares. Small tug cylindricals (≤500mm dia.) are usually fixed by a longitudinal chain through the bore of the fender, connected to the bull by turnbuckles to tension the chain. Larger fenders often use supplementary chains or straps around the fender.
